Year 2015 saw the release of stunning video games, making the year a good one for the industry. Now it appears 2016 won't fall far from the standards 2015 has set for gaming.

Despite delays, impressive new games are still in store for 2016, and below are the Top 10, as seen on The Inquisitr and The Verge.

Attack on Titan

To be made available on PS3, PS4 and Vita, the game is based on the anime set on a future where humans battle with people-eating giants inside a walled-off city. While tie-in games are said to be disappointing, this new release from the studio that made "Dynasty Warriors" and "Hyrule Warriors" is very promising.

Battleborn

Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 3, this game made by the creators of "Borderlands" mixes RPG/FPS hybrid with a multiplayer game "Dota 2." Gearbox Software defies genres once again with a new universe of wild characters.

Capybara Games-created, this "moody adventure" for PC and Xbox One will go deep with role-playing action, akin to a mixture of "Dark Souls" and "Sworcery." The roguelike game was reportedly planned to be Xbox One's showcase indie titles. However, it went from a 2015 to a 2016 release. Still, the adventure game will stun in its striking visuals.

 Bound

Made for PS4, the artistic game is described as a "piece of modern art transformed into a PS4 game." What's even more interesting about the game is that its developers are having a hard time describing it.

Crackdown 3

Made for Xbox One, the sandbox action is making a return in 2016. However, since Microsoft is set to power it this time with cloud technology, gamers get to experience even more destruction.

Fable Legends

Created by Lionhead Studios, the free-to-play action RPG was once set up to be Xbox One's greatest titles. While a delayed release was set for November, then March, then early 2016 from the game's director, much is expected of the game.

Star Fox Zero

Another delayed game originally set for the holidays on Wii U, fans have been waiting for this new entry for years. Now that the release is set on April 22, it's interesting to see what Nintendo and Platinum Games have set in store for gamers.

The Legend of Zelda

Earlier this year, Producer Eiji Aonuma announced that the delayed release of the game, which is set for Wii U, is due to the discovery of "several new possibilities" with an open world format.

"The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD" is slated for release on March 4, 2016.

Tom Clancy's The Division

The third-person shooter game from Ubisoft made for PS4, Xbox One and PC will be released on March 8, according to The Inquisitr. People were blown away during the initial announcement, so many are excited for the release of the fascinating game set on real world New York City conditions with the mixture of an open-world gameplay and PVP combat.

XCOM 2
Created by Firaxis Games, the turn-based tactical shooter game is set for PC on February 5, 2016. Provided that the studio has more time for polishing the game set 20 years after the alien invasion in "Enemy Unknown," there are major improvements for the game like procedurally generated levels, as well as more units.
