The "GTA 6" release date is one of the most talked about topics in the gaming community since "Grand Theft Auto 5" became a hit with fans.

Currently, the latest "GTA 6" news and rumors are coming in. However, it's hard to tell whether the "GTA 6" rumors are true. Having said thus, it's still important to take a grain of salt on any speculation or suggestion circulating in the internet.

According to The Franchise Herald, speculations about the game began when Rockstar Games released an official announcement on "GTA 6" but did not provide any specific details.

Rockstar boss Leslie Benzies reportedly made the announcement via an interview with Develop Online.

"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do," Benzies said. "We don't know what 'GTA 6' will be, but we've got some ideas."

According to The Fuse Joplin, the "GTA 6" release would likely arrive anytime between 2018 and 2020.

While the aforementioned announcement by Benzies means a massive release date for the next instalment of "Grand Theft Auto," many details remain relatively unconfirmed.

Meanwhile, apart from the "GTA 6" release date, other rumors point to the highly anticipated game's location.

Benzies confirmed that the game is already being worked on and that its location could be in the U.S.

"It comes from the idea first," the Rockstar boss said.

"Where it is going to be set is the first question. Then, that defines the missions; you're doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked out together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in," he added.

Recent "GTA 6"rumors claim that the game's map could be based on "The Crew" by Ubisoft, according to the Christian Post.

In addition, the "GTA 6" website added that there's a possibility that the entire U.S. could be included in the map.

Recent "GTA 6"rumors also point to the possibilities of a female lead.

According to Cross Map, Hollywood superstars Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes couldbe the voices behind the game's lead characters.

Another "GTA 6" news is that there could be more overall chaos added into the game, but fans could like this, as noted by The Inquisitr.

In fact, there could be flashbacks of natural disasters such as the ones seen in "2012" and "San Andreas", as reported Venture Capital Post.
