Bandai Namco dropped a little surprise for fans waiting for Tekken fans.

After the Grand Finals of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2015, the game publisher confirms through a new trailer that one of the most popular "Street Fighter" character, Akuma, will join the Tekken 7 roster in the upcoming version of Tekken 7 titled "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution."

In the trailer, Heihachi Mishima's wife Kazumi Mishima can be seen talking to a mysterious figure and pleading to promise her to kill Heihachi if she was not able to do so. The mysterious figure then answered and promised to grant her wish and repay a debt to her.

The new trailer was obviously the continuation of the previous Tekken 7 trailer which featured almost the same scene. However, the recent trailer unveiled that the mysterious figure was the character Akuma from "Street Fighter."

The scene then followed with a series of Akuma's fight scenes against other Tekken characters, showing his trademark fighting style, moves and combos such as Dragon Punch, Hurricane Kick, Goshoryuken and Gahadoken as well as his Shun Goku Satsu or Raging Demon.

According to the report by Game Rant, the addition of Akuma in the Tekken 7 roster is pretty remarkable especially with the fact that he was not included in "Street fighter V." However, it added that such addition opened the possibility of bringing more "Street Fighter" characters in the game.

However, the gaming news outlet added that, since the Tekken and Street Fighter crossover has not been cancelled yet although it is still far from development, the inclusion of Akuma could hint that such crossover is still a possibility. Also, Bandai Namco is just showing what the characters will look like in a 3D style of gameplay.

Moreover, the Game Rant report pointed that "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is likely to come on home consoles, even speculating that this version of the game might be the one to be released for PlayStation 4 or be provided as a DLC.

As of present time, there is no official confirmation yet from Bandai Namco about the release of this new Tekken 7 version on home consoles. However, it is already planned for release on Japanese arcades but an official release date is yet to be announced.
