"Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" will be the first of the "Star Wars" franchise under the Disney brand. And while the movie is already generating a lot hype, Disney would like to remind fans that there are plans for a much bigger "Star Wars" Universe.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that Disney is already looking for an actor to play the young Han Solo, for his projected "solo" movie. Sources have said that casting director Jeanne McCarthy has been busy finding the right guy to portray the galaxy's fastest smuggler.

The list has been rumored to be as long as 2,500 names and the team behind the film have been taking their time finding the perfect young Han.

While there have been several big names attached to role, like Chandler Riggs ("The Walking Dead), and Rami Malek (Mr. Robot). Screen Rant reports that the studio is more than likely going to go with a little known actor similar to what they have done with Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.

The biggest question, besides who will be playing Han, is what story will the film tell? As of right now little is known about that aspect of the film, the good thing is that Han does have a pretty deep back story before "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope."

For those who are not familiar, Han Solo formerly was a low ranking officer in the Imperial Fleet, and while he did not always agree with what the Empire was doing to Han it was a job.

Han was not able to hold the rank for very long though, since he became a wanted criminal after helping a Wooki, name Chewbbacca, escape imprisonment. Ever since that event, the two have been close friends and confidants.

The movie could also focus on how Han became the owner of his ship, the Millennium Falcon, and how he was able to do the infamous Kessel Run in 12 parsects.

While most of the movie's information is still speculation and rumors, one this is for sure; the actor who does get to play the young Han Solo will have to be as witty, charismatic, and charming as Harrison Ford has been all these years.

Who do you think should play Han Solo in his new film? Which of Han's stories do you think the movie should focus on? Let us know in the comments below.
