The new GoPro Hero 5 rumors were recently released, and one of the highlights in the rumored specs is that the highly-anticipated device will have an 8K display.

As such, many fans of the powerful brand are excited to purchase the GoPro Hero 5. However, according to Crossmap, with the rumors come several conflicting reports about the said new features.

It remains unclear when the company is releasing the new GoPro Hero 5. Tech News Today back in August that the supposed October release was pushed back to next year since they needed to add a few upgrades to the device to make it stand out in the market. Other reports claim that the camera will be out by the year's end, but because the GoPro Hero 5 still hasn't arrived early December, the release date is still hanging in the air.

Meanwhile, the company has asked patience from fans, who have much to be excited about since the rumored GoPro Hero 5 specs seem to live up to the camera company's popularity with innovation.

According to a Venture Capitalist Post report, the most popular speculations of the GoPro Hero 5 is that the new line will have an 8K resolution, 60-meter waterproof capabilities and the ability to capture 3D images via a dual-lens setup.

In addition, it is expected to be smaller by up to 50 percent, 40 percent lighter plus the diving capability is up a notch with 60-meter limit - a clear advantage as opposed to the 20-meter limit on the Hero 4.

However, as noted by The Inquisitr, while 3D pictures viewed via a VR headset sounds exciting, the 8K video with up to 60 fps frame rates could be more of a threat to the company's boost in sales than a solution.

The extremely high-quality videos from the 8K videos taken with the GoPro Hero 5 would mean computers with higher processing powers as well. In addition, streaming videos on YouTube would tend to be difficult as well.

The bright side is, GoPro could be ahead of the game and with today's technology, it could only be a matter of months before computer companies would catch up to processing 8K videos.

Meanwhile, another rumored GoPro Hero 5 feature is the Bluetooth 4.0, which allows faster upload speeds, and a longer battery life with 2,800 mAh, WeAreChampionMagazine.com reported.

As for the GoPro Hero 5's price, reports say the camera is expected to retail at a starting price of $400 up to $550, while Tech News Today reports a price of $550.

While it sounds expensive, the new GoPro Hero 5's highly-advanced specs put it on top of the game in video quality. It wouldn't be a surprise if more consumers would want to purchase the camera when it's released in the market.
