A "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" sneak peek aired during FOX's mid-season finale of "Gotham", and now, Warner Bros. just announced that a new "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer will debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, December 2, at 11:35 / 10:35 CT.

It took Warner Bros. a while before debuting another trailer for the film. With just a few months before the premiere of "Batman V Superman", the teaser and announcement of the trailer, which is just a week following the "Civil War" trailer, are just in time.

The sneak peek during "Gotham's" fall finale showed Batman being held prisoner before Superman comes in and unmasks Bruce Wayne's alter ego.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is one of the most-anticipated comic book superhero films of 2016. Therefore, much is expected of the film and its trailer this week.

According to Headlines & Global News, apart from showing three of the biggest comic book heroes on screen, Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" follow-up will be DC Extended Universe's introduction into cinemas.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" gathers big comic book characters, including of course Superman and Batman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Aquaman, Cyborg and possibly the Flash.

The release of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be in four months' time, and according to Forbes, there is a chance that the "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer could be bigger than the "Captain America: Civil War" trailer if it proves to be "fun" and enjoyable.

Rumors say that the film has been marketed as a particularly "grim and baroque" film, with the two superheroes showing no sympathy for each other. This is the opposite of "Civil War's" superheroes who battle it out against each other but with "emphasized loyalties."

However, Forbes describes the "Captain America: Civil War" trailer as somewhat "grim and rather small scale", thereby giving DC the opportunity to make it huge with "Dawn of Justice" if they offer audiences a big superhero spectacle that is fun for both young and old.

Currently, Marvel has made big business with the success of its own shared cinematic universe. If "Dawn of Justice" becomes a hit with fans, then Warner Bros. could become serious competition for Marvel, making MCU vs. DCEU possibly the new Coke vs. Pepsi in the movie business, HNGN says.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated for release on March 25, 2016.
