Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson recently shared some details about their upcoming movie “Fifty Shades Darker.” Reportedly, the sequel will be sexier and darker.

During an interview with People Magazine, Dornan, who plays the billionaire sadist Christian Grey, suggested that he is prepared for a more intense role and to bring things to a higher level. Fans speculated that Dornan may be shown in a nude and more erotic way.

“I’m looking forward to embodying Christian again – and getting a chance to show more of him.” said the actor.

Movie News Guide noted that “Fifty Shades of Grey,” the first movie in the series, was based on the novels of E.L. James. The story focused on the relationship of Christian Grey and the college graduate Anastasia Steele, (Dakota Johnson) who became the former’s submissive sexual partner.

DesignNTrend noted that director Sam Taylor-Johnson was replaced by James Foley, after there were reports that the former had problems with the book author during filming. James Foley is probably best known for his role as director in “Glengarry Glen Ross.” There are talks that Niall Leonard will serve as scriptwriter, together with his wife, author E.L. James. There are further talks that the studio will produce “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shade Freed” back to back.

Johnson, on the other hand, also shared that she is ready to do anything to play Anastasia in the second film, based on the same report by MovieGuide.

“Fifty Shades Darker” is set to start production early in 2016. The plot is expected to get thicker with the presence of the new character, Mrs. Robinson, which is rumored to be portrayed by Charlize Theron. Cara Delevigne is also rumored to play Leila Williams. As for Jack Hyde, fans hope that either Ian Somerhalder or Theo James will play the role. The three new characters will have important roles in Christian and Anastasia’s relationship. Mrs. Robinson was largely responsible for Christian’s sexual preference, while Jack Hyde is bound to stir trouble for Anastasia.

There is no confirmation yet regarding the final cast, but an announcement is expected before production begins in 2016.

“Fifty Shades Darker” is set to launch on Feb. 10, 2017. The first movie, “Fifty Shades of Grey,” did well at the box office. The more star-studded cast of the second movie is expected to help it gross better when it releases. More updates and details on the sequel are set to surface soon.
