"Captain America: Civil War" is probably one of the most anticipated films of all time. Its trailer alone, which according to Marvel Studios, broke Marvel's record with 61 million global views in 24 hours, is proof enough that the film could be the best Marvel Cinematic Universe film ever.
Comingsoon.net said that the "Captain America: Civil War" trailer, which was launched with Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr.'s surprise appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last Tuesday, almost doubled the previous record held by another first trailer - that of Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
"Age of Ultron" reportedly held a record-breaking 34 million views during its debut in 2014.
Meanwhile, Lucasfilm announced in October that the first "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer held a ground-breaking 128 million views in 24 hours after its debut.
While the "Captain America: Civil War" trailer didn't beat "Star Wars'," there are still a lot of reasons that makes the film unique and watch-worthy as "The Force Awakens."
So what makes "Captain America: Civil War" so good that it could be the best MCU film to date?
Here are three reasons "Captain America: Civil War," as listed by Design & Trend.
- It features all the great qualities of "Captain America: Winter Soldier" and the Avengers.
"Captain America: Civil War" is a combination of a sharp, political yet comedic plot coupled with Russo Brothers' humor and knack for artistic action scenes. It would be no argument that that combination is the best formula yet that viewers have seen of an MCU movie. As opposed to "lame Hydra operatives" featured in "Captain America: Winter Soldier," this time it's all of the Avengers' exciting characters packed into an action-filled flick.
- The good guys are the bad guys.
It's one thing to feature a sinister super villain in a superhero film, but it's another thing when the superheroes themselves are against each other fighting to their death. "Captain America: Civil War's" good guys vs good guys plot is not your typical movie plot, plus given the Avengers' capabilities of destroying anything they set their mind to, it would be interesting to see how far the Russo brothers will take the superheroes.
- The Russo brothers for a second time.
The Russo brothers first Marvel film was "Captain America: Winter Soldier," and it's no question how amazing that film was. With more experience in directing and a better screenplay, there can be no doubt that "Captain America: Civil War" will be one, or even the best, release MCU would have.
