A new leaked photo just revealed that two of Samsung's top devices are getting their Android 6 updates very soon. The leak indicated that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will be on December, while the Samsung Galaxy S6 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has been set in January, according to the Venture Capital Post.

Last September, the Korean giant released both devices in New York.

According to Android Community, the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ are the first Samsung devices to receive the much-anticipated Android 6.0 Marshmallow features. However, while the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software will be made available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 next month, the leaked photo only showed the model number SM-N920G.

The photo, dated October 29, 2015, reportedly appeared authentic in that it had a Samsung logo as the letterhead and was watermarked with TimesNews.co.uk.

It shows two tables named Android 6.0 Update Guide separated by Phase 1 and Phase 2 each, revealing two phases of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade. Meanwhile, a Phase 3 was also included and indicated to begin following Initial Testing.

Since October, reports of the Galaxy Note 5 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and Galaxy S6 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update started spreading saying that the upgrades will take place in December. However, readers were told to be wary of such reports since the brand made no official confirmations with regard to the rumors.

Previous reports revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update involved 15 models to be upgraded. As of the moment, the Galaxy S6 upgrade is undergoing the Initial Testing stage where preparatory tests of the new build were undertaken by the original equipment manufacturer to see whether the Marshmallow update is suitable for the mobile device. Meanwhile, the Development stage in October involved integration of the build.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow build is reportedly considered to be the largest Android upgrade in history, therefore major tweaks and features are to be expected, with the fingerprint support perhaps most notable of all.
