An "Iron Fist" Netflix series has been confirmed as "being worked on," Marvel's Joe Quesada recently revealed.

Marvel TV's expansion to Netflix originally began with the "Daredevil" series. To date, it has become the streaming service's most successful original programming. In fact, the show seemed to be such a success that they are now creating a second season, thus creating a potential shift with the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Two other heroes being shown who are teaming up with the "Daredevil" (Charlie Cox) are Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter). With the three considered only three-quarters "Marvel's Defenders," the only one missing is Iron Fist, or Danny Rand. This begs the question of whether there will be a possible "Iron Fist" Netflix series soon.

Rumors have been many, and while there have not been any official updates of an "Iron Fist" Netflix series casting or production, recent rumors claim the show is possible.

In "Daredevil" Season 2, The Punisher (Jon Berenthal) has been made a lead character. Many have then speculated that The Punisher might get his own series while "Iron Fist" will have his own TV movie. This does not sound plausible, but since updates lack regarding "Iron Fist," fans have continued to wonder and of course, speculate.

Recently, Joe Quesada sat down with IGN at the premiere event for "Jessica Jones." He didn't say much, but at least rest assured there is an "Iron Fist" Netflix series in the works.

"I'm pretty involved. I'm not on set every day but I'm pretty involved. Iron Fist is being worked on and that's all I can say."

However, when questions led to the "Iron Fist" TV movie rumors, Quesada asked where they are coming from, with him even jesting that there might be some truth to them if they come from the internet.

In addition, according to Peel The Orange, Netflix is reportedly considering swapping the "Iron Fist" series for a series starring "The Punisher."

With Quesada's mysterious answer, it could mean that an "Iron Fist" feature film is in the works for Netflix, instead of a TV series. This will also reportedly give Marvel "extra time and a larger budget for this project."

According to Screen Rant, in the end, it's quite clear that "Iron Fist" was meant to be with "Marvel's Defenders." The schedule of a team-up miniseries remains unclear, but for now, it can only be assumed that it will appear on Netflix before the release of "Avengers: Infinity War" in 2018.

Netflix currently offers "Daredevil" Season 1. "Jessica Jones" will be released at midnight, November 20. As for "Luke Cage" Season 1 and "Daredevil" Season 2, they will be released in 2016. "Iron Fist and "The Defenders" will follow later on.
