Apple continues to roll up new devices, including the new iMac desktops, which has garnered fairly positive results.

Apple first debuted two new iMac desktops during their October keynote event, where the iPad Mini and iPad 4 also made its premiere.

Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook also announced today the assembly of its devices will slowly shift back to the US. The news comes as some of the new iMacs featured the phrase "Assembled in USA," engraved on them.

So what exactly are these iMac desktops about?

Size and Weight:

The 21-inch iMac weighs 12.5 pounds while supporting a height of 17.7-inches, width of 20.8-inches, and  a standing depth of 6.9-inches.

The 27-inch iMac weighs 21 pounds while supporting a height of 20.3-inches, width f 25.6-inches, and a standing depth of eight-inches.

Display:

The 21-inch iMac features a 21.5-inch LED-backlit display with 1,920x1,080 pixels while the 27-inch iMac features a 27-inch LED-backlit display with a higher pixel resolution of 2,560x1,440.

Camera:

The 21-inch iMac and 27-inch iMac shares a FaceTime HD camera with 2,560x1,600 pixels.

Memory and Internal Storage:

21-inch iMac: Configurable to 16GB with 1TB 5,400-rpm hard drive or 1TB Fusion Drive

27-inch iMac: Configurable to 32GB with 1TB or 3TB with 7,200-rpm hard drive. Fusion Drive storage capabilities include 1TB and 3TB and 768GB flash storage.

Wireless Connectivity:

The two iMac desktops are compatible with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g and Bluetooth version 4.0.

Processor:

21-inch iMac: 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i52.9; GHz quad-core Intel Core i5

27-inch iMac: 2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i5; 3.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i5

Operating System:

The OS X Mountain Lion will serve as the operating system for both iMacs. The operating system launched in the summer with Apple touting over 200-plus new features including accessibility, auto save, Facebook and Twitter apps, iCloud, Gatekeeper, and QuickTime X, to name a few.

Price:
Prices for the iMacs will differ on processor type. For the 21-inch iMac, it will have a price tag of $1,299 when purchasing with the 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor while the 2.9GHz processor will increase prices to $1,499.

The 27-inch iMac has a starting price of $1,799 when buying it with the 2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor while the 3.2GHz model has a starting price of $1,999.
