The "Justice League" has long been known to be the strongest team in the DC Comics Universe.

However, if there is anything that the team lacks would definitely be a woman's touch as Wonder Woman so far is the only woman confirmed for "Justice League Part 1." Because of this, Heroic Hollywood reports that Warner Bros is actively looking to possibly adding Mera, the Queen of Atlantis to the film.

This isn't the first time that DC has seen the need to have a second female role in the Justice League alongside Wonder Woman. The popular "Justice League" cartoon series did something similar when it first premiered.

The show ultimately swapped out Aquaman all together and replaced him with Hawkgirl in the team's lineup. The move was a success and Hawkgirl became one of the most popular characters on the show.

Comic Book Resources reports that Mera was originally set to make her debut in the solo "Aquaman" movie as she is the Queen of Atlantis. If this rumor is true it is very likely that the actress who gets cast as Mera will play the same role for several films.

For those who are not familiar with the character of Mera, she is the current Queen of Atlantis and is knowledgeable in both Atlantian Magic as well as combat techniques. However, she does have a dark past which only recently got revealed.

Mera is actually from Xebel which is a long forgotten penal colony of Atlantis which a group of rogue citizens where banished to centuries ago. Mera was trained as an assassin to kill the current king of Atlantis in retribution for her people's banishment to Xebel.

However, as Mera got to know Aquaman she soon fell in love with him and kept her identity a close secret until just recently.

Many consider Mera very similar to Daenerys Targaryen from the show "Game of Thrones," as there are several aspects of their back stories that are very similar. A banished princess, forced to wed a King from a land she is not familiar with, both losing a child very early on.

The similarities also continue as Jason Momoa will be playing Aquman in the "Justice League" films. Momoa also played Khal Drogo during the first season of "Game of Thrones."

Currently, the addition of Mera to the cast which includes Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash, Green Lantern, and Cyborg, is still a rumor. But considering that DC has done a move like this before does give merit to this rumor.

"Justice League Part One" is set to debut Nov. 17, 2017.
