Wrestlemania 32 News & Rumors: John Cena vs Undertaker Happening?

The WWE is busy these days trying to retool its lined up schedules, mainly in part due to the untimely injury suffered by WWE heavyweight champion Seth Rollins.

Rollins has been ruled out for six to nine months which means that all plans for him to do battle in the WWE ring will be affected. Though there is no official word yet on who the Architect would be facing for the annual WWE extravaganza, Wrestlemania 32, the belief was that Rollins would have gone toe-to-toe with his mentor Triple H.

At first glance, that seems to be just one match so why bother tweaking other planned showdowns?

The obvious answer to that is that the WWE wants to make sure that Wrestlemania 32 doesn’t end up a bust, not to mention the ratings and revenue angle as well.

One match that will surely be in focus is the one for the Undertaker. Wrestlemania simply wouldn’t be complete without a special match involving the Undertaker and now the word out is that it will be John Cena who could end up facing the Dead Man in April 2016.

While this matchup would certainly be something grand to see, it also douses water over a previous rumor that would have seen Undertaker go up against Sting.

WWE owner Vince McMahon wasn’t too keen on seeing it happen and while many left a little ray of hope, this new rumor could very well douse any hope of WWE fans seeing that epic match which would have taken place at Wrestlemania 31 had the WWE not chosen to go with Triple H instead.

Regardless, Cena going up the Taker shouldn’t be half bad. But the thing is, the Cenation leader would have to turn heel at some point before Wrestlemania 32.

At the moment, Cena is on personal leave though the WWE star is expected to make his return to the WWE scene this December.

Should everything stay the course, Cena would have four months to turn heel though he has mastered the art of shifting to and from a face to heel character (and vice versa) time and again.

Will it be John Cena sending off the Undertaker to his much talked about retirement?

The belief is that the Dead Man will be appearing in his last Wrestlemania which could mean that the Taker could be losing his final match against Cena.

Though there is no confirmation of the whole Undertaker retirement scenario, Cena is the best person to perhaps to do so considering he is the WWE’s top draw at the moment.
