Although the official trailer for "Kingdom Hearts 3" has been released, rumors are flying that a secret trailer was shown to a special few during the recently concluded D23 in Japan.

According to Yabida, the trailer revealed a lot about the combat techniques that Sora and friends will be using during the course of the game. For instance, rumor has it that Goofy will be able to do a new technique with his mouse shield, which will allow up to three characters to ride it at one time. Sora will also be able to capture and use 10 heartless at one time.

Gamespot reports that the Astro Blasters game that appeared in "Toy Story" will make an appearance in the game as a mob-attracting device. Whether the device is part of a quest or part of the party's actual gear is yet unknown. The inclusion of the popular game from "Toy Story" may also mean that there could be a world dedicated to the film; however, this has yet to be confirmed as well.

Returning as the major enemies will be the Nothing, which are shadow-like creatures that act as dark dopplegangers of the heroes introduced in "Kingdom Hearts 2." It seems that the Nothing are back to cause more trouble within the Disney Realms, and it is up to Sora, Goofy and Donald to stop them.

Also rumored to be in the story are other keyblade users, such as Kairi, Ven, Riku, Terra, Roxas, Aqua, Namie and Lea. However, there is still no word if King Mickey, who is also a known keyblade user, will be making an appearance in the game or not.

The story for "Kingdom Hearts 3" still remains a mystery. Meanwhile, the franchise itself has had quite a confusing storyline, with several prequels and pseudo-sequels to the story on several different formats including the PS2, PS3, PSP and 3DS. From what has been told so far, Sora and his two friends Riku and Kairu were suddenly separated from their home, which was invaded by mysterious creatures called the Heartless.

Soon after, Sora finds a weapon called the keyblade and meets up with two legendary heroes, Goofy and Donald Duck, who were sent from the Disney Castle by King Mickey to assist the keyblade wielder. The three heroes then transverse the Destiny Islands in search for Sora's friends, defeating the Heartless along the way. Although the prequels dealt with other characters and other keyblade wielders, the Heartless seemed to play the pivotal role as the villains during the entire story.

Currently, Square Enix has not yet released a date for "Kingdom Hearts 3" but has revealed that the game will be multi-platform, with versions being made for both the PS4 and XboxOne.
