Floyd Mayweather Jr. retired last September 12 and his status will remain that way, no comebacks.

This time, it is Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe coming forward to stressing the status of Floyd Jr., hopefully putting an exclamation point to continuous rants that Floyd will still be expected back in the ring at some point in the future.

Many have been left speculating on what lies ahead for Mayweather, especially since he did go up against a questionable opponent – Andre Berto – last September. Many felt that Floyd Jr. could have done better in choosing a worthy opponent to exit in style. But as it turned out, Floyd opted for an easier opponent despite his claim that Berto is not.

Regardless, Mayweather is enjoying his retirement. In fact, he has started burning off his money yet again by buying another expensive automobile – a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse – worth a whopping $3,498,000!

Mayweather showed off the photos of his new ride via Instagram this Monday. Seeing him buy yet another expensive vehicle is nothing new, considering he has a lot of them in his garage.

Besides the new ride should make up for the loss of this four other vehicles which went up in flames earlier this month.

According to that report from TMZ, the pricey car collection ended up in flames when a trailer transporting Floyd’s Bentley, 2 Rolls Royce and a custom jeep from Las Vegas to Miami encountered some problems.

Mayweather’s name was mentioned recently, tied up yet again with possible rematch talks with Filipino fighter Manny Pacquiao.

As everyone knows by now, the PacMan is fighting for perhaps the last time this April 9, 2016. His opponent has yet to be named though latest reports have it that it has now been trimmed to three – Amir Khan, Terence Crawford and Timothy Bradley Jr.

It was Khan who made a big fuss on a possible Mayweather vs. Pacquiao rematch, saying also earlier this month that he was walking away from contract talks because he believed that Pacquiao and company were more interested in a rematch than fixing a fight with him.

Bob Arum, of course, nixed those allegations and reiterated as well that Mayweather has retired. He was never in the mix despite an erroneous report by AFP as well.

Mayweather’s status has been stamped as retired yet again despite constant belief that he will be making a ring return. Right now, all the fire on that has been doused but don’t expect critics and fans to continue voicing out a Mayweather return.
