Some say "Elder Scrolls Online" is "dying"; the release of "Elder Scrolls Vi" should then be just around the corner, right?

According to some reports, the answer may be no.

Those anticipating a 2016 release, you'll have to wait a little while longer as current clues point to a later launch, probably in 2019.

"Bethesda releases a new Elder Scrolls every 4 years and Elder Scrolls Online was for 2015," CrossMap explained. "So it seems most likely that we'll be seeing the 'Elder Scrolls 6' this coming 2019 rather than 2016 as previously speculated."

At present, Bethesda still has not officially confirmed the release or existence of "ES6," although it has been widely speculated that it is currently under development. Also, Bethesda Softworks' Pete Hines had hinted that the upcoming title is being developed.

"It's rare to have franchises like the ones we have and to have people joking about 'when is Skyrim 2 coming out?' he told The Telegraph in an interview. "The reason they say that is because generally speaking that's what you'd be getting with another publisher in charge."

"They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focusses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015'," he added.

This statement got observers understanding that there will indeed be a follow up to the huge hit that "Skyrim", otherwise known as "ES5", is. However, it has sparked another round of speculations over whether "Elder Scrolls 6" will be a different game or a "Skyrim" sequel.

But whichever the title will turn out to be, it appears the next iteration won't be out for at least 2 years from now.

If Bethesda is indeed aiming for quality, it's natural for the company to take a number of years before releasing a game. It's also hoped that "ES6", with a lengthy development timeframe, will have less bugs and glitches, which was not the case for "Skyrim."

"Bethesda had some problems when it launched Skyrim that seemed to have been completely avoidable. At the very least, this new product should be ironed out so we don't have those kind of annoying glitches," Gaming Bolt opined.

With "Fallout 4" slated for a November 10 release, it appears that "ES6" may finally see the light of day in the next few years as Bethesda can now focus its efforts on the said sequel. When do you think will the company be able to finish the game?
