Many fans of the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise have been eagerly waiting for the third installment of the action role-playing video game. However, the decade-long anticipation of fans might finally be given clarity this November.

Disney will be holding a D23 Expo Japan 2015 this coming November 6 to 8, 2015. Nonetheless, before the said event, a "Kingdom Hearts" fan event will be held on November 3, 2015.

According to an announcement in the Disney Japan Website, the latest information and video about the upcoming title "Kingdom Hearts III" will be unveiled during the said event.

Hence, along with the event, possible information on the rumored characters and multiplayer details might be revealed.

Recently, a report by Realty Today reported that a rumored multiplayer mode of the game spread after an Osaka-based Game Designer of Square Enix updated his LinkedIn profile, mentioning that part of his duties for "Kingdom of Hearts III" is "Multiplayer Planning and Documentation."

Additionally, new playable characters for the game is also rumored to be included in the game. However, in an interview by Games TM with game director Tetsuya Nomura did not deny nor confirm the possibility of having new characters.

"It's a secret but by saying that we imply that maybe something's going on. We can't disclose anything but, maybe, something will happen there," Tetsuya Nomura told Games TM in the interview.

According to Designs & Trends, the multiplayer gaming might not be the conventional style of the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise since it is already a success as it is. Nonetheless, the report mentioned that having new characters does not necessarily means having a multiplayer function, citing the PSP title "Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep" as an example of having three main protagonist that has a connected narrative.

The report, nonetheless, added that a possible co-op mode can be integrated in the game where groups can play together using different characters.

Just a month and half ago, it was reported that "Kingdom Hearts III" is not yet ready with Nomura saying that though the basic system and game mechanics are already finished, the "mass" elements of the game is still in the development stages.

The director also mentioned that they are having challenges in developing the HD game in current generation consoles.

As of present time, there is no official release date for the game, but with the Japan Expo looming, possible release date for the game as well as its current development stage might also be announced.

"Kingdom Hearts III" will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when released.
