Sheamus vs Conor McGregor Possible?

The UFC and the WWE are two separate entities and are known to have a sibling rivalry of sorts. So when you hear about two stars from each jawing after a curious question, expect that backers from both brands to listen in.

This has to do with that celebrated question on whether UFC’s Conor McGregor would get it on with the WWE’s Sheamus if ever such a crazy match ensues.

As expected, both individuals who hail from the same hometown in Dublin, Ireland were not going to back down from each other. In short, the persona they carry on their respective companies are nothing different.

However, the question is would it happen?

As far as McGregor is concerned, he would take on Sheamus anytime. He claims he can give Sheamus a severe beating just in case despite the big disparity in height and weight which of course Sheamus was quick to point out.

All this took place almost a year ago and eventually the two smoked the peace pipe of sorts and so the issue sort of died down. That was until for some reason the whole issue made a re-appearance recently via the Irish Mirror.

For his part, Sheamus or Stephen Farrely in real life, reiterates that he would fight the brash Irishman should it come to a point that he would have to. Apparently his WWE character speaks for itself, seeing how Sheamus loves to mix it up regardless if he is playing face or heel.

“Would I take him (if I had to)? Absolutely. Course I would. No one could take me. No one’s better than me. I could walk over anyone” says the Celtic Warrior.

Familiar words? Well Sheamus carries that personality each time he takes the WWE ring so such shouldn’t come as a surprise. But then again, he may want to take McGregor seriously. Despite the size disparity, McGregor’s speed should be a problem.

Just think of it something like a cruiserweight battling a big guy like Sheamus. For sure he will be hard to catch since that will be the most likely game plan. Hit and then move and wear down the bigger opponent.

Right now, all these are wild scenarios which may require a lot of things before it happens.

And at the top of that is whether the UFC and WWE would even consider it. With both being rivals, it is going to take a lot of negotiations just in case. And of course, there is the money angle.

Would a Sheamus vs. Conor McGregor be profitable?
