The chips that will power the Apple iPhone 7 will be provided by Intel and already a team of 1,000 employees were gathered to worked on the 7360 LTE modem chip to get them ready for Apple's next generation iPhone, people familiar with the matter revealed to VentureBeat. Intel is reportedly at the edge if it is set to impress Apple as it aimed to replace Qualcomm which had long since been the major chip supplier for Apple, the sources were one in saying.

The sources, who have spoken with VentureBeat exclusively, said that Intel is gathering a small number of employees for the project. However, these employees are the cream of the crop who understand that the project with Apple could bump up Intel's position in the industry. The company is also said to be very choosy of the people it assigned to the project because Apple is a demanding client with the most popular phones currently out in the market.

While sources have yet to confirm whether contracts between Apple and Intel were already signed, Apple is said to be watching Intel's project milestones closely. The tech giant is reportedly attracted to Intel because the latter is already developing a 10-nanometer process simultaneously with its 14-nanometer process.

In whichever case, this report will be confirmed by either Apple or Intel soon because works on the iPhone 7 should commence almost immediately. According to reports rounded up by Macworld UK, sources and analysts were one in predicting that Apple will release the iPhone 7 in September 2016. Those Intel chips should be ready ahead of the actual production which is obviously timed to be completed before September 2016.

Macworld is also guessing that Apple will release a 4.7 inches phone which could be the iPhone 7; and a 5.5-inch model which could be the iPhone 7 Plus. However, the website dismissed rumors that the iPhone 7 will sport a 3D screen. The rumored curved display is also impossible in the same way that flexible display is also not feasible. There will not be any of the spring-out gaming joystick in the Home button. The only rumored features of the iPhone 7 that may actually come true are the edge-to-edge screen and wireless charging. Another rumor which is almost 80 percent sure is that the Apple iPhone 7 will have an anti-overheating technology. This is backed up by an Apple patent submission published by the by the United States Patent office.

GeekSnack meanwhile reported that the iPhone 7 will be launch together with the Apple Watch 2. This is because both devices will be introduced as completely waterproof. This is actually a downside for the iPhone 7 if true. According to GeekSnack, for the iPhone 7 to be completely waterproof, it has to have more plastic components, sacrificing the classy and sleek design that iPhones have come to be known for.
