Bioware's level and tech designer Jos Hendriks recently talked about the making of "Mass Effect: Andromeda." Is he building up anticipation for the game this early?

"I have found that it's actually pretty handy to try and draw out a mission in top-down rough layout sketch to break down story beats," he tweeted recently.

"Not only does it help me actively visualize what spaces the player will be going through, but also everyone working with me," he went on, as noted by Gaming Bolt. "What if you need to be in a type A environment for scene 1 to work, but scene 2 requires a different kind of space? How do you connect them? What kind of location is it?"

"Does that dictate the general shape of how layouts work? Does the space connect naturally? The connective tissue of a mission or level is almost just as important as the 'setpiece' moments and scenes. It needs to be convincing," he added.

Hendriks went on to say that he spent the day "poring over mission notes, and constructing a layout on a whiteboard to put it together," concluding that the layout is now a photo shared with those working on the project and thus can be used as "a point of reference."

"Because my artist needs to get a cool moment to really make something awesome, and the writing needs to be supported, and cinematics," Hendriks said.

Further, studio director Chris Wynn was noted by Design & Trend as tweeting that the current build of the game appeared to be pretty good during a test done last week, which indicated that the title's development appear to be doing well and on track.

"Mass Effect; Andromeda" is said to arrive during the holiday season of 2016 and will be released to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Not much details about the game is known at this point, though, although Bioware said that it will be "very much a new adventure, taking place far away from and long after the events of the original trilogy."

"You will play a human, male or female, though that's actually not the character you saw in the trailer (more on that later)," it said on its official site. "You'll be exploring an all-new galaxy, Andromeda, and piloting the new and improved Mako."

"And through it all, you will have a new team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with," it continued.

What are your predictions for the upcoming game?
