On Oct. 13, 2015, game publisher Activision featured a new trailer for "Shadows of Evil" zombies mode in "Call of Duty: Black Ops III". The new trailer showcased the origins of the four main characters of the game, played by actors Jeff Goldblum, Ron Perlman, Heather Graham and Neal McDonough.

Gamespot stated that "Shadows of Evil," as shown in the trailer, is set in the 1940s and the characters were shown committing different kinds of murder. Goldblum's character killed his wife after she got them deeper in debt. Perlman's character was a boxer who wore brass knuckles inside his gloves and killed his opponent in a fight. Graham's character murdered a guy with a pair of scissors, while McDonough's character shot a man dead.

Later in the footage, the four character drank a substance that made them drop. A strange figure approached to offer them a chance to redeem themselves, which involved taking down zombies. The figure said that they can only find redemption through him, the Shadow Man. The official site stated that the characters will find themselves waking up in a horrific world filled with the undead. They have to struggle to overcome amnesia and confusion with the goal of solving how they ended up in their current twisted fate. Fans were very excited about the new zombie video and many deemed it as one of Treyarch Studio's best.

The action and nightmare will happen in Morg City, which has a theater district, jazz clubs and a suspension railway among others. Coming Soon revealed that "Black Ops III" will bring players into a dark and edgy future where biotechnology and cybernetics created a new breed of soldier. Players will take on the role of Black Ops soldiers that are faster, linked together and more dangerous than ever before in a new four-player co-op campaign and a redefined multiplayer mode. The game will deliver new multiplayer features, a new weapon customization system and unique types of weapons. There is also a new Specialist system that allows players to customize their own Black Ops soldiers.

"Shadows of Evil" is a survival horror co-op game and will be included with "Black Ops III" in all versions of the game. "Black Ops III" is set to launch on Nov. 6, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. More updates and details on the upcoming game and modes are set to surface soon.
