There are rumors that the HTC One M10 model will be launched soon. The smartphone is said to be the company's flagship model and a number of rumored specs have also surfaced online in the past weeks.

The HTC One M10 will be the company's latest flagship model. Some are speculating that the device will become available before the end of 2015. Meanwhile, Day Herald has stated that the HTC One M10 might be released some time in 2016. There are also talks that the HTC O2 is actually the HTC One M10.

Venture Capital Post reported that the company might have postponed the introduction of the HTC One M10 to guarantee that it will meet the high expectations of users. The Taiwanese company is most likely improving the model to make it better than its predecessor, the HTC One M9, which apparently failed to impress several users.

The Inquirer revealed that the upcoming handset will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. This is supposed to fix the overheating issues that the Snapdragon 810 posed. The new chipset is also about 35 percent faster and 30 percent more power-efficient. The HTC One M10 may also have a 6-inch display with a QHD resolution of 1440 x 2560, 4GB of RAM, a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture sensor, a 5-megapixel front shooter and a 3500mAh battery. Furthermore, the M10 may feature wireless charging, 64GB or 128GB of internal storage and a microSD slot. It might be retailed anywhere between $800 and $900.

If the HTC One M10 releases late in 2016, it is expected to feature the Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The new OS will provide the device with USB Type-C support, Android Pay, and enhanced performance and security features.

There are also rumors that a smaller version of the HTC O2 will become available in 2016. This will allegedly feature a 5-inch screen and a powerful Snapdragon 82X octa-core chip.

It appears that the HTC One M10, or HTC O2, will be one of the most powerful smartphones in 2016 upon launch. HTC reportedly aims to improve its standing after the lackluster reception of the M9 model. The specifications and features have not yet been confirmed by the company, so updates and changes may surface in the next few months. It is possible that the device may be introduced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in 2016, and officially become available a few weeks after. Stay tuned for more updates.
