Android 6.0 Marshmallow was officially launched in September 2015 and users are already excited to receive an update soon. You should know the top five tips and tricks to maximize your OS experience.

1. Uninstall apps straight from your home screen or app drawer. Android 6.0 Marshmallow current allows users to uninstall an app right on their home screen or app drawer. Just long-press the app, and you will find options at the top of the screen. Choose "Remove" or "Uninstall" on the home screen. If you are deleting from the app drawer, choose "App Info" and "Uninstall". Drag the app icon to the action of your choice, Android Pit reported.

2. Unlock developer mode. Trusted Reviews stated that users can activate developer mode to access a variety of tech switches and controls. Go to "Settings" then "About Phone" and then tap on the Build Number entry seven times. A toast pop-up should appear and notify you that you are a developer at present.

If you explore further, you will notice "Developer Options" listed over "About Phone". You can start USB Debugging, OEM Unlocking or Show Touches, among others.

3. Individually allow app permissions. Granular app permissions is one of the top features of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The new update allows users to manage app permissions on an individual level. To start, go to "Settings" then "Apps" and then tap an individual app to check its permissions. Change the switch for the permissions you wish to grant and those that you do not want to allow. You can also see a list of permissions to determine whether you have granted particular apps. Go to "Settings" then "Apps" and then tap the overflow menu. Go to "Advanced" then "App Permissions", based on the same report by Android Pit.

4. Doze. The new feature is another big improvement in Android 6.0 M. Doze will automatically hibernate your device when it detects that it has been idle for a while. Alarms and priority notifications can still alert you. Users can still use the Battery Saving Mode, but can exclude up to three apps as imposed by the new feature, so that these continue to operate fully while the rest are on battery saving mode, Trusted Reviews revealed.

5. Activate multi-window mode. The new mode allows users to open a separate app in a new "pop out" window, allowing you to run two apps at the same time.

Several more features and bug fixes were introduced by Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
