"Star Wars Battlefront" is set to be introduced to the public in November 2015. A new gameplay video recently surfaced online, showing gamers how Luke Skywalker will appear in the upcoming title.

Game Rant reported that YouTube user Westie featured a short gameplay footage that lasts only one and a half minutes. The video showed the character finding a hero power-up item, which provided the option to spawn in as Luke Skywalker. The clip then showed the gamer playing as Luke, with abilities like Saber Rush and force push. In the video, Luke's health bar is also reducing over time, which will limit the potential damage that he can inflict to the opposing team. Luke successfully destroyed 15 enemy players and an AT-ST vehicle in the video. The impressive feat showed how hero and villain characters can be vital in matches.

Based on the official website, Luke Skywalker was modeled after the movie character in "Return of the Jedi". He had a green lightsaber, black clothes and a gloved hand. Senior Producer Jamie Keen provided the details on how players can use the hero character during the game. Hidden pickups for the character can be found at random spots in-game, allowing players to spawn in as the hero or villain. The characters will also have signature moves and attacks.

"Our goal was to give an average player around two minutes as a Hero or Villain. But if you're good enough, you might stretch that to around five minutes. In theory, you can play as Luke Skywalker for a whole match, but that is extremely unlikely. That said, the gauntlet is thrown!" said Keen.

The health bar, as shown in the video by Westie, was intended to limit the involvement of heroes and villains in matches. Players can tilt the match to their advantage by using the heroes strategically. The usage limit can be extend by killing enemies.

An open beta will become available on Oct. 8, 2015. EA and DICE previously showed some of the playable heroes and villains "Star Wars Battlefront", such as Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett and Darth Vader. There are hints that Han Solo may also be part of the roster. There are also rumors that more playable characters from the upcoming movie "Star Wars The Force Awakens" may also become available in 2016.

"Star Wars Battlefront" will launch on Nov. 17, 2015 and will be playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
