There are talks that the official launch date of "No Man's Sky" will be announced in 2016, together with "Project Morpheus." A new gameplay demo was also featured recently, revealing new details about the upcoming title.

Yibada reported that Sean Murray, developer of Hello Games, shared a new gameplay demo for "No Man's Sky" during his appearance with YouTube sensation PewDiePie in "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The official release date of the game was not revealed, however.

The game demo featured five new planets, new creatures and raw materials that gamers can use for weapons, equipment and ships. There is a new "Pokedex" device that allows gamers to name and categorize various alien creatures they encounter in a given planet. "No Man's Sky" will also feature new planets, namely Loyk, Nardrisk, Flettia, Faey-Dahyrn and Teogicia, based on the same Yibada report. Nardrisk is covered in mist. Loyk is a green planet with several alien animals. Flettia appeared like a rainforest. Faey-Dahyrn had many islands and underwater areas. Teogicia is covered in snow and had robots and unique animals.

The official website stated that "No Man's Sky" is an adventure and survival video game where players can explore an infinite procedurally generated galaxy. The open universe features more than 18 quintillion planets, each with their own animals and plants. Players can gather materials, purchase starships and acquire information to submit to a universal database. Sentinels are threats that can kill characters if they prove to be a threat to the planet they are visiting.

Game Informer cited that "No Man's Sky" was introduced in 2013 at the Spike VGX awards. Gamers have anticipated the release for a long time, since Hello Games, which is based in Guildford, England, had the ambition to make a whole galaxy. Players are looking forward to see how wide the world will be in the game. PC Gamer wrote that some of the features that Murray revealed during the interview include the existence of a new periodic table, spaceships heating up when these reach the atmosphere, the ability to walk around while underwater and being able to see your avatar when another player sees you, which is a rare occurrence.

Many speculate that the release date of "No Man's Sky" will be in 2016. Hello Games is reportedly making adjustments and adding features to satisfy the demands of gamers when it becomes available. More updates are expected soon.
