There are rumors that "Tekken 7" will be coming soon. Bandai Namco is said to be producing the next installment of the popular 3D fighting game.

Nseavoice reported that an image of what is alleged to be the logo of "Tekken" surfaced online in Japan. Many gamers believed that the game developer is already preparing the sequel. "Tekken" did not have a wholly new sequel in the past several years, although it is still one of the top titles in gaming tournaments. If "Tekken 7" launches, it will be a good way to revive interest in the franchise.

Fans expect the game to feature new and familiar characters, as well as an entertaining story. Some of the names in the potential roster include Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Marshall Law, Hwoarang, Paul Phoenix, Yoshimitsu, Bryan Fury, Devil Jin, King, Dragonuv, Lili, Asuka and Feng Wei. Some of the new characters may include Josie Rizal, Claudio, Jack-7, Kazumi Mishima, Gigas, Shaheen, Lucky Chloe and Katalina, Yibada stated.

Attack of the Fanboy wrote that David Fraile, Marketing Manager of Bandai Namco Entertainment Spain said in a video that "Tekken 7" will become available for gaming consoles in 2016. He made the announcement on the YouTube page of the Madrid Games Week. Fraile began commenting at the 2:48 mark of the clip in Spanish. He stated that the next installment should be released in 2016.

Yibada revealed that game creator Katsuhiro Harada promised fans that he will provide new game details as well as the potential launch date for "Tekken 7" at the Tokyo Game show, which happened in September 2015. However, no news came out at the event. The arcade versions of "Tekken 7" is already available in Japan and a number of arcade tests are being done in the United States. According to Harada, arcade testing is the best way for them to acquire more information and feedback from gamers to come up with new concepts for the console and PC versions. Harada said that they are still polishing the game and will add new features based on the data gathered from players.

Not a lot of details about "Tekken 7" are available at the moment, but it is expected to run on the Unreal Engine 4, showcasing high definition graphics. Having the game built on the new engine will also mean that it will not be playable on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game will most likely be playable on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. The PC version might release after the console versions.

More updates and details are expected soon. Bandai Namco might make an official announcement in the following weeks.
