The Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone is still far from its launch date, but users are already talking about the model's possible specifications and features. There are rumors that the future flagship smartphone may have a dual-camera setup, but others are claiming that the technology will only become available late in 2015, or after the Galaxy S7 model launches.

Phone Arena wrote that although the dual camera setup is said to be completed by the end of 2015, Samsung might spend more time to determine how it will best be integrated into its future models. Dual-camera modules are expected to improve the quality of photos as well as boost the view, range and general camera features. It will most likely raise the retail price, as well as consume more space. There is no confirmation yet on whether the dual-camera setup will debut alongside the Galaxy S7.

NDTV revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, which might release early in 2016 and become available in the United States and China. In other places, S7 handsets may run on the Exynos processors. Samsung did not comment on the rumors regarding the device's possible specifications.

So far, the Snapdragon 820 processor has been doing very well in tests, which may spur Samsung to rework its relationship with Qualcomm. Previously, Samsung has been relying on its own Exynos processors for the Galaxy S6, after complaints about the Snapdragon 810 surfaced. The S7 is expected to be more powerful than the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, which run on the 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC and 4GB of RAM, based on the same NDTV report.

Expert Reviews cited that the Galaxy S7 will follow the S6 and S6 Edge. It is expected to launch at MWC, from Feb. 22 to 25, 2016, and will become available early in April 2016. Some of the notable upgrades may include 4K displays, the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the Qualcomm processor. There might not be a lot of changes in terms of design. Some users expect the S7 to have a flat and curved version. Techno Buffalo wrote that there might be a 21-megapixel camera and a USB Type-C port. Overall, users should expect better resolution and camera upgrades.

Samsung has been very quiet about the Galaxy S7, while the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge models are gaining momentum. More updates and details on the Samsung Galaxy S7 are expected soon.
