LG recently introduced the V10, which features several powerful features. The first LG V10 promo video also surfaced, particularly using the term “groufie,” the plural form of selfie.

Phone Arena reported that the LG V10 has a second screen above the main display to emphasize an enhanced multimedia experience. When the main display is on, the second display can be adjusted to feature shortcuts or favorite apps. When the main screen is off, the secondary screen will present the time, date, weather and battery icon. The second display also lets users receive notifications on texts or phone calls without interrupting media that is currently playing on the main screen. The second screen can stay on without affecting battery life.

Based on the same report by Phone Arena, the LG V10’s main display measures 5.7 inches with a 1440 x 2560 resolution and 513ppi. The second display measures 2.1 inches with a 160 x 1040 resolution and 513ppi. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, Adreno 418 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone also has 64GB of internal memory, upgradable up to 2TB via microSD. The V10 is powered by a 3000mAh removable battery and will run on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The LG V10 has a 16-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/1.8, allowing users to capture excellent images in low-light situations. It also has Optical Image Stabilization 2.0. Phone Arena cited that the handset will come with dual 5-megapixel front cameras that let users take 120-degree wide-angle selfies. The two lens allows images to be combined to feature a wide-angle appearance without the need to pan the camera from one side to the other. The new advertisement used the word “groufie” to describe the special feature, which allows users to take group photos efficiently. The three phone cameras also let users shoot a video from various angles simultaneously. The LG V10 is also the first smartphone to include a manual mode for video.

The handset features a stainless steel frame and Dura Skin, giving it impact and scratch protection. Android Police revealed that it measures 159.6 x 79.3 x 8.6mm and weighs 192 grams. The available colors will be Space Black, Opal Blue, Ocean Blue, Luxe White and Modern Beige. The LG V10 will launch in Korea in October 2015. It will be available in the West subsequently. The retail price has not yet been announced.
