Nokia has been seeing some initial success with their Lumia 920 series since its launch on Nov. 9.

If there's one thing Nokia and Apple have in common, it is AT&T. The carrier currently holds exclusive rights of the Lumia 920 smartphone and back in 2007 held exclusive rights to the iPhone.

The Lumia 920 has so far been selling out in several outlets, but how does it far with the still popular iPhone 4S?

Size and Weight:

The Lumia 920 is bigger compared to the iPhone 4S.

The Lumia 920's frame features a length of 5.13-inches, width of 2.79-inches, and a depth of 0.42-inches. The iPhone 4S' length is 4.54-inches, width of 2.31-inches, and a depth of 0.37-inches.

The iPhone 4S weighs 4.94-ounces while the Lumia 920 weighs 6.53-ounces.

Display:

The Lumia 920 features a screen size of 4.5-inches with a pixel resolution of 1,280x768 and 332 pixels per image (ppi). The iPhone 4S screen is one inch less, with 3.5-inches and a pixel resolution of 960x640 and almost the same ppi but at 330.

Internal Storage/Memory:

The two smartphones do not offer a microSD card slot. The iPhone 4S offers 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models with 512MB of RAM. On the flipside, the Lumia 920 only offers the smartphone with a 32GB model but at 1GB of RAM.

Wireless Connectivity:

The iPhone 4S and Lumia 920 offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, USB, and Bluetooth. The Lumia 920 does offer Near Field Communication (NFC).

Photography/Video:

The Lumia 920's rear-facing camera features 8.7-megapixels with 3,264x2,448 pixels with Carl Zeiss optics. The front-facing camera comes at 1.3-megapixels.

The iPhone 4S has a rear-facing camera at eight-megapixels but with the same pixels as the Lumia 920, without the Carl Zeiss optics. The front-facing camera utilizes Video Graphics Array (VGA), the equivalent of 640x480 pixels.

When it comes to recording, both devices record at 1080p and at 30 frames per second (fps) with the rear-facing camera.

The front-facing camera records at 480p at 30fps for the iPhone 4S while the Lumia 920's front-facing camera uses 720p, also at 30fps.

Operating System:

The iPhone 4S comes installed with the iOS 5 but is upgradable to the latest iOS 6. The Lumia 920 is among the first to use the latest Microsoft mobile operating system - Microsoft Windows Phone 8.

Colors:

The iPhone 4S is available in black and white while the Lumia 920 touts its colorful options of black, gray, red, yellow, and white.

Price:

The official Apple site currently sells the 16GB for $99 when signing a two year contract with either AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon carriers. The Lumia 920 is also the same price - $99.99.
