More "Star Wars" sneak peeks are coming your way as the upcoming film's release date nears.

Recently, Disney has begun to reveal more tidbits about "Star Wars Episode 7: Force Awakens" via a promotional campaign aimed at spurring an epic turnout at theaters once the movie drops in December.

The latest unveilings have been a batch of images showing the lead protagonists and baddies in the flick - Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), and Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie).

"Also present are Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), along with the new Stormtroopers and Flametroopers of the First Order," ScreenRant reported. You can check them out at www.starwars.com.

Interestingly, we've yet to see Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, as pointed out by ScreenRant. Perhaps they're saving the best for last? After all, it's still about 3 months until showtime. Meanwhile, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia has only been shown once - in the Comic-Con behind-the-scenes clip.

Perhaps we'll be seeing more of these two in the weeks or month leading to the movie's release. Or perhaps until the next trailer? Or maybe we won't see them until the movie is shown on December 18?

In other news, those rumors alleging Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford, may die in "The Force Awakens" have reared its head once more. And some believe this may be true.

"A film source has confirmed that Han will be killed off, four decades after first appearing on screen in A New Hope in 1977," Metro relayed, adding that a fan website had claimed "a scene had been filmed which saw Han confront the new villain Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver), who then 'silences the conversation forever'."

Further, Han Solo could not be seen returning after that encounter and that Chewbacca was especially angry and murderous after the said skirmish.

As expected, Disney has refused to comment on these rumors.

The hero has managed to get out of very tight spots many times, prompting a number of fans to believe he'll always do just that. Even when Ford himself wanted his character to be killed off, the science fiction saga's creator George Lucas has kept him alive.

So, will we see the last of Han Solo in the upcoming film? That remains to be seen.
