Amazon is in the holiday shopping season as today marks Cyber Monday 2012.

In what is meant to be the online equivalent to Black Friday, Cyber Monday provides specials through discounted deals through various online website, and Amazon will be no stranger.

In an offer valid since 3:01 a.m. EST this morning and ending at 2:59 a.m. EST, Amazon has cut the price of their Kindle Fire by $30.

The original price for the Kindle Fire is $174, without the "Special Offers" Amazon offers. If choosing with the "Special Offers" option, then the original price decreases to $159.

For Cyber Monday, the $159 price tag stands at $129 while the $174 offer will be $144.

There are a couple twists to the deal however.

The deal is limited to one per customer and as long as the code FIREDEAL is inserted at checkout process. The promo code cannot be combined with other promotional deals and the website states, "Amazon reserves the right to cancel the promotion at any time. Void where prohibited."

The Kindle Fire features a seven-inch screen with a pixel resolution of 1,024x600, internal storage of 8GB, 8.5 hours of battery life, Wi-Fi connectivity, and does come with free cloud storage for fellow Amazon content.

The deal is exclusive on Amazon.com.
