Apple is known for charging a premium price for its flagship iPhone series of smartphones, but customers who are willing to pick up a refurbished version of the iPhone 5 are in luck.
At AT&T's official website, those who opt for a two-year contract with the carrier will be granted access to a 16GB iPhone 5 for $149, a 32GB for $249, and a 64GB for $349. Free shipping in included with every online purchase.
According to PCMag, refurbished phones have "the same functional requirements as a new device" and are covered by a 14-day return policy.
The iPhone 5 was noticeably absent from retailers' Black Friday sales lists, but AT&T's offer is a small reprieve from Apple's unwavering pricing for its popular handset.
The iPhone 5 is feather-light and takes the record for the thinnest smartphone Apple has ever made. The device shows up the iPhone 4S with a 4-inch screen that displays at 1136 x 640 pixels, a brand new A6 chip, and an ultra-thin touch pad that sharpens feedback to user input.
At normal prices, prospective device owners who sign a two-year contract with Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint have the option of a 16GB iPhone 5 at $199, a 32GB at $299.99, and a 64GB at $399.99. Unlocked phones sans-contract cost $649, 749, and $849 for each respective size, according to a recent leak.
