There are rumors that the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 will be released soon, and it will allegedly be larger compared to the original model.
Phone Arena reported that the Moto X Force, is expected to launch in the United States as the Motorola Droid Turbo 2. The new smartphone is said to be exclusively available from U.S. carrier Verizon Wireless.
Leakster @upleaks, who unveiled what was allegedly the first render of the Motorola Droid Turbo 2, said that the device might release in October 2015. The original Motorola Droid Turbo was launched in October 2014, so there might be a pattern.
Techno Buffalo revealed that the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 will be bigger compared to its predecessor, with a 5.43-inch Quad HD display. The first version had a 5.2-inch Quad HD display. The upcoming device may also run on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal memory. The handset is also expected to have a 21-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter, as well as a 3,760mAh battery. The phone might run on the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, together with several Verizon software.
The Droid Turbo 2 is expected to have an IP X7 certification with its rugged theme, making it shatterproof and waterproof. The phone will stay safe against splashes and light rain and can be submerged in up to 3.2 feet of water for about 30 minutes. The source @upleaks also mentioned that the Moto X Force may become available in Europe and China in December. The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 may retail at $620.
In the new image presented by @upleaks, the Droid Turbo 2 looks very much the same as the international model. There is a Verizon signature logo below the display and between what seemed to be a divided front speaker. A “DROID” logo is also found on the back of the phone. Based on appearance, the back of the phone appeared to be made from heavy-duty material which could make it both easy to hold and well-protected against drops. The camera sits at the top center of the phone’s rear with the flash below it. The Motorola logo is present below the flash. The camera, flash and logo are positioned on the same section on the back. The device may also launch in at least three colors – white, black and red.
