Game publisher Ubisoft is going to launch its own theme park in Malaysia. The new attraction will feature several gaming brands that are said to change the theme park experience of people everywhere.

Game Spot reported that Ubisoft will use its rich portfolio of world-renowned brands and expertise in creating highly interactive gaming experiences to revolutionize the experience of theme park visitors. Ubisoft Motion Pictures and RSG will lead the huge project. RSG is co-owner and co-developer of Movie Animation Park Studios.

"Together we are creating a place where every guest is a player, every ride is a playground, every visit is a game. In RSG, we've found a partner with a successful track record in working with international brands, a shared ambition to design the family destination of the future, and a wealth of expertise in theme park development,” said Jean de Rivieres, Ubisoft Motion Pictures senior vice president.

Based on the same report by Game Spot, the Ubisoft theme park will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and cover 10,000 square meters. UbiBlog wrote that the company chose Malaysia because it is the second most-visited country in Asia, according to a 2014 World Tourism Organization report. Rivieres added that there is room for various projects that will originate in the region as well as a growing middle class with rising incomes and a demand for entertainment.

The Ubisoft theme park will feature several innovative attractions, shows and rides, based on famous game titles like “Just Dance”, “Rabids” and “Assassin’s Creed”. The rides will feature all-digital media. RSG stated that their partnership with Ubisoft will mean that they will be working with creative teams to develop the revolutionary theme park. RSG added that they feel confident that the collaboration will benefit both parties and solidify their presence in the global family entertainment industry.

The game publisher announced that they are making a place where every guest is a player, every ride is a playground and every visit is a game. Rivieres said that they are confident in RSG’s track record in working with international brands and shared vision in making an innovative family destination.

Ubisoft is also currently busy making four feature films based on its properties.

The Ubisoft theme park is scheduled to open in 2020. Kotaku stated that there is no official name for it at the moment. More news and updates on its development are expected in the following months.
