A total of 21 new characters have recently been unveiled to appear on the upcoming game "WWE 2K16." Some of the biggest names in entertainment wrestling history will be making a return.

2K Sports announced that the professional wrestling game "WWE 2K16" will feature the biggest lineup in the franchise ever. There will be 120 playable wrestlers in the roster, which is almost twice as many compared to its predecessor, "WWE 2K15", Game Spot reported.

The 21 confirmed characters that will become available in the game are as follows:

  • Batista
  • Chris Jericho
  • Curtis Axel
  • Edge
  • Erick Rowan
  • Fandango
  • John "Bradshaw" Layfield
  • Luke Harper
  • "Macho Man" Randy Savage
  • Natalya
  • Ravishing Rick Rude
  • R-Truth
  • Ryback
  • Santino Marella
  • Sergeant Slaughter
  • Simon Gotch
  • Stephanie McMahon
  • The Rock
  • Undertaker

"WWE 2K16" is set for release on October 27, 2015 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Gamers who preorder will get two playable versions of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator.

Tech Times wrote that three game developers shared a new video, featuring them playing a Triple Threat TLC (Tables, Ladders and Chairs) match. They played Sheamus, Neville and Kevin Owens. The short video showcased the enhanced graphics of the upcoming game, as well as the different wrestling styles of the characters. At one point, Neville went on top of the turnbuckle and jumped off with a moonsault against Sheamus. Owens executed a piledriver on Sheamus, while the latter later on performed his White Noise and Brogue Kick. In the end, Neville's signature Red Arrow corkscrew shooting star press was enough to garner the win. Overall, it was a great battle that presented the fluidity of the upcoming game.

Based on another report by Game Spot, 2K also released the soundtrack of "WWE 2K16", which comprised 12 songs. The titles are as follows:

  • Fashawn (feat. Nas& Aloe Blacc) -- "Something To Believe In"
