'Skylanders: Superchargers' Coming to iOS Next Month!

“Skylanders: Superchargers”, the next installment of the popular toys-to-life game franchise, will launch in September 2015.

Polygon reported that “Skylanders: SuperChargers” will become available as a full game on iOS, according to game publisher Activision. The game will be playable on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch beginning October 25, 2015 in North America. The last instalment of the franchise was released in 2014, entitled “Skylanders Trap Team”, which was released in full for iOS devices and Android. Similar with the mobile version in 2014, “Skylanders Super Chargers” will feature the full game. It will also include a cloud save feature that lets gamers play between Apple devices.

The starter pack will also feature a Bluetooth controller, a Bluetooth portal, a built-in stand, two “Skylanders” character figures and one vehicle. Players who download the game will receive Instant Spit Fire and Instant Hot Streak for free. Those who make purchases in-app will also unlock Instant versions of Dive Bomber, Dive-Clops, Super Shot Stealth Elf and Stealth Stinger.

According to the official “Skylanders” website, the game will be the fifth in the series. The focus in the new game will be vehicles, compared to the fourth installment which delved much into traps. There will be 20 SuperChargers characters and 20 vehicles in the upcoming game. The vehicles will be categorized into land, sky and sea

The “Skylanders” characters will consist of Astroblast, Big Bubble Pop Fizz, Bone Bash Roller Brawl, Deep Dive Gill Grunt, Dive-Clops, Double Dare Trigger Happy, Fiesta, Hammer Slam Bowser, High Volt, Hurricane Jet-Vac, Lava Lance Eruptor, Nightfall, Shark Shooter Terrafin, Smash Hit, Spitfire, Splat, Stormblade, Super Shot Stealth Elf, Thrillipede and Turbo Charge Donkey Kong. The in-game variant SuperChargerSkylanders will include Dark Hammer Slam Bowser, Dark Spitfire, Dark Super Shot Stealth Elf, Dark Turbo Charge Donkey Kong, “Easter” Thrillipede, Frightful Fiesta, Legendary Astroblast, Legendary Bone Bash Roller Brawl, Legendary Hurricane-Jet Vac and Steel Plated Smash Hit.

The vehicles in the game include Barrel Blaster, Burn-Cycle, Buzz Wing, Clown Cruiser, Crypt Crusher, Dive Bomber, Gold Rusher, Hot Streak, Jet Stream, Reef Ripper, Sea Shadow, Shark Tank, Shield Striker, Sky Slicer, Soda Skimmer, Splatter Splasher, Stealth Stinger, Sun Runner, Thump Truck and Tomb Buggy. The in-game variant vehicles will include Dark Barrel Blaster, Dark Clown Cruiser, Dark Hot Streak, Dark Sea Shadow, Legendary Sun Runner, Nitro Soda Skimmer and Nitro Stealth Stinger. E3 Hot Streak will be part of the Chase variant vehicles. There will also be magic items during the game, such as Kaos Trophy, Land Trophy, Sea Trophy and Sky Trophy.
