The next installment of the "Fast and Furious" franchise may be getting two new leading ladies joining the cast.

That's if actress Michelle Rodriguez would have her way. The veteran of the franchise was recently interviewed by Entertainment Tonight, which asked the actress who she would like to have in the next installment of "Fast and Furious".

Rodriguez quickly answered that Angelina Jolie would be someone that she would love to work with, and that she has idolized her for many years. However, Rodriguez would like to have Jolie be part of Dom's group, saying that females have been cast opposite each other too many times just to try and outdo the other one. According to Rodriguez, it is time for the strong female personalities to unite for a good cause.

Another strong female presence that has been rumored to be joining the "Fast and Furious 8" cast is Australian actress Ruby Rose. In a interview done on Today Australia, she hinted that she is actually in talks about joining the cast and that she is very excited if it does go down. Movie Plot states, however, that she has to play down the fact that the actress bears remarkable resemblance to another famous personality, Canadian-born pop singer Justin Bieber.

Rose states that while she is in talks with the film's higher ups, she claims that she doesn't even know that she looks like Bieber, else she risks not being chosen for the film.

While there is no concrete evidence that either Jolie or Rose will be joining "Fast and the Furious 8", one big name is scheduled for a return to the franchise. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has confirmed that he is in the final stages of a deal that will have him return to his role as Luke Hobbs. Fans will remember that Hobbs was initially part of the US strike team that was tasked to take down Brian and Dom's group in Brazil but ultimately ended up helping the group in the end.

"Fast and Furious 8" is set to start filming in New York sometime this year and is scheduled for an early 2017 release. Thus far, Vin Diesel, Jason Statham and Kurt Russel have all been confirmed to return to their characters for the film.

Do you think that Angelina Jolie or Ruby Rose would add anything to the next "Fast and Furious" film? Let us know in the comments below.
