Microsoft is expected to launch the Lumia 950 XL or Cityman before 2015 ends. Users believe that the handset will pack several powerful features to match the flagship models of other brands, specifically the Apple iPhone 6.

Gazette Review wrote that the Microsoft Lumia Cityman will run on the Windows 10 Mobile OS out of the box. Compared to iOS, Windows 10 will work similarly as Android, allowing applications to run in the background. Users can multitask and move from one app to the next without losing information. Cityman may also be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or 810 with a 64-bit octa-core chipset, compared to the 1.4GHz dual-core processor of the iPhone 6. The Microsoft Cityman will feature a 3,300mAh battery, compared to the 1,810mAh iPhone 6 battery. In terms of the screen, the Cityman is said to feature a 5.7-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution, compared to the 4.7-inch display of the iPhone 6 with a resolution of 1334 x 750.

The Microsoft Lumia Cityman is rumored to have a 20-megapixel rear camera with triple LED flash, capable of recording 1080p video, while the iPhone 6 has an 8-megapixel rear shooter. In terms of internal storage capacity, the Cityman features a microSD slot, allowing it to store up to 128GB of content. The iPhone 6 does not have a microSD card slot.

Touch-screen pens and styluses are also reportedly included and deeply integrated with the Microsoft Lumia Cityman. There may be a small accessory kit that will come with the device, called the “Munchkin”, which allows the handset to project onto a computer display and provide mouse and keyboard support. The Munchkin will most likely be the Continuum dock that was revealed before. The feature lets the smartphone double as a presentation media center, based on the same report by Gazette Review.

True to previous rumors, the company will be heading straight to the 950 series in terms of naming, referring to the Lumia 950 as Talkman and the Lumia 950 XL as Cityman. Windows Central cited that the Lumia 950 XL or Cityman may feature a matte white or black polycarbonate body, a 5.7-inch WQHD OLED display, an iris scanner for Windows Hello, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable internal memory, a 5-megapixel wide-angle front shooter, a 1mm silver ring inside the circumference of the black camera pod, USB Type-C support and aluminum side buttons.

Windows Central stated that the two smartphones are expected to launch in the fall of 2015.
