"Once Upon a Time" season 5 promises to change the way the show has unraveled to date. If the rumors are true, it seems that Henry Daniel Mills (Jared S. Gilmore) may decide to rewrite the book to save his mother Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) from becoming evil.

According to Comic Book Resources, Henry had been given the option to rewrite the book previously but refused, which led to the Author's quill becoming broken. Now regretting his choice of allowing his mother to become the Dark Swan, Henry is trying to find a way to reverse the events that have already unfolded.

IB Times reports that the beginning of season 5 will have the unusual team up of Prince Charming, Captain Hook and Snow White helping Mills find Merlin. However, the search may prove to be a failure, and Henry will soon have to find an alternate method to change his mother's fate. For those who are unaware, at the end of season 4's cliffhanger, Emma Swan was last seen picking up the dagger, thus becoming the new Dark One. The character is now being dubbed the Dark Swan.

Executive Producer Edward Kitsis has confirmed that there will be a lot of character development for Henry, and a lot of time will be given for the character as he is now the author of the book. Viewers will have an in-depth look into the character and what he is ready to do to change his mother's fate.

Kitsis goes on to say that the breaking of the Author's quill is something that Henry may end up regretting. Viewers of the show are aware that the quill is one of the most powerful objects in the show, perhaps next to the book.

Several other minor characters are also set to make an appearance during Season 5, according to Kitsis. The Executive Producer confirmed that several characters will be heading to Camelot where King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table will make an appearance. Josh Dallas, who plays Prince Charming in the show, hinted that there may also be a Prince Charming / King Arthur bromance in the works.

Kitsis states that there will be two major themes for season 5 of "Once Upon a Time". The first will be that "Sometimes things aren't what they appear to be" and the second is that "Love can be a very dangerous weapon".

"Once Upon a Time" returns for its fifth season on ABC and premieres on Sunday, Sept 27 at 8pm.
