Fans of zombie-based blood and gore got a little extra something when "Fear The Walking Dead" aired its second episode last night. The companion series to "The Walking Dead" gave fans another glimpse into the sixth season of its Alexandria-based sister series, "The Walking Dead." In addition, there is more information on a new actor to be joining the cast.

Cast Updates

Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays Sasha in the hit AMC series, along with the rest of the cast, can welcome her husband to the popular series. Kenric Green will be joining the cast. At this time, there is very little information regarding what character he will play. According to The Inquisitr, Scott M. Gimple revealed a snippet of information during an unaired bonus scene of the special episode of "Talking Dead," which ran before the premiere of "Fear The Walking Dead."

According to MovieWeb, Scott was pretty tight-lipped about Kenric's role - only dropping these fairly small nuggets. "Scott is a character from the comic, played by Kenric Green, Sonequa Martin-Green's husband. He's fantastic, and it's cool to see another character from the book come to life, and that's probably all I should say."

Scott is a supply runner in the comic book series. The Inquisitr points out that the name "Scott" is possibly being used as a double meaning to keep fans from spoiling the storyline. "It will be interesting to see if this is the Scott they are referring to or whether the name is simply a holder name, as is commonly used by AMC to hide the identity of a character from the comic series. This is usually done to prevent spoilers the character's real name may reveal if it is released," writes The Inquisitr.

Kenric Green is not letting the zombie out of the bag either. Fansided asked the actor for a few details regarding his new role, but was shut down with a sweet, yet elusive comment from Sonequa's hubby. He tweeted, "Here is an exclusive for you 'no comment' :)"

Promo

Fans will just have to wait for more, but in the meantime, AMC has recently released a short season 6 promo called "We Are One" featuring some of the current characters from the show.

Premiere Date

Followers can hang onto the one-minute trailer before Season 6 of "The Walking Dead" returns to AMC on Sunday, Oct. 11.
