2016 MacBook Air Price Revealed? Release Date, Specs, Features & Rumors Here!

There are talks that the 2016 MacBook Air will be announced in the next couple of months. Reportedly, this laptop model will be marketed at a price of only $899.

Master Herald wrote that Apple may launch a new device that will be cheaper compared to majority of similar products by other companies. The 2016 Apple MacBook Air is rumored to be set for a launch in October 2015 and will become available to the public in March 2016. It will reportedly retail at $899, which is $100 cheaper than its predecessor, the 2015 Apple MacBook Air, which was launched in October 2014. If the price rumor is true, the device will be the cheapest Apple laptop ever.

There will be a gap between the unveiling and release dates of the new laptop because Apple will be featuring the Intel Core M-based Skylake processor. The chipset is expected to begin mass production in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Reportedly, the 2016 MacBook Air will be offered in two display variants. There may be a 13-inch version and a 15-inch version. Both models will be lighter and thinner compared to the previous-generation devices. It remains uncertain, however, whether one or both devices will have the retail price of $899. Christian Today stated that the 13-inch version may arrive with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The 15-inch model may feature 4GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. There might also be a third version, which features a 15-inch screen, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory.

The device shall further include a USB Type-C port, Thunderbolt port connection, and Retina display screen. The upgraded screen will result to better viewing experience, an enhanced viewing angle of 178 degrees, and richer colors.

Yibada revealed that the Apple MacBook Air 2016 and Apple MacBook Air may include the Nvidia GPU, which will improve game experience among users. There may also be external GPU units for improved gaming. Nvidia has just launched the Ge Force GPU, which is allegedly three times faster compared to the most powerful GPU currently available. There will be new technologies that will come with the new Nvidia GPU, which might allow users to play some of the most advanced games at present, with high system requirements.

Users are still waiting for an official confirmation from Apple regarding the $899. The company might also unveil two or three new laptop units in October. More news and updates on the 2016 MacBook Air are expected in the following weeks.
