Popular action role-playing video game "Diablo III" gives its fans new contents to explore and enjoy.

In Diablo III's official website, the game's developer Blizzard posted the details of its new patch 2.3 which features a new zone, a more polished adventure mode, as well as new and revised legendary items. The new patch will also serve as the door for the game's Season 4.

Gamers seeking for a new area to traverse can now explore and fight new enemies in the zone called "Ruins of Sescheron." As described by Blizzard, Sescheron was home to the united Barbarian tribe but was destroyed and reduced to rubble by demons and evil forces sent by an angered Lord of Destruction.

Furthermore, the latest area will also be the holding ground for the item called "Kanai's Cube" which was inspired by the well-known "Horadric Cube" from "Diablo II". Once guarded by the Barbarians living in Sescheron, the powerful item can create new gears when items are combined, re-forge legendary items, and most notably, extract legendary power from items and equip it with weapons, armor, and jewelry.

The game's Adventure Mode has also received some modifications on its crafting system, rewards and bounties, as well as in the Nephalem and Greater Rifts and on its Infernal Machine event. According to Blizzard, these changes were made to make "both leveling and maximum level play more smooth and streamlined experiences."

Moreover, Patch 2.3 will also debut three new sets such as "Seeker of the Light" set for Crusaders, "Uliana's Stretegem" for Monks, and "Spirit of Arachyr" for Witch Doctors. Two old sets that includes Witch Doctor's "Helltooth Harness" and Wizard's "Vyr's Amazing Arcana" were also given an update.

Moreover, the new content will also open Season 4 which will give its players access to "season-exclusive legendary items, cosmetic rewards and transmogrification effects." The season will also kickoff the 'Season Journey Interface" that will enable players to plan and track their season progress. It will serve as the Sanctuary guide for the newcomers and help players evaluate and compare their progress season to season.

As cited by Game Rant, the patch is currently accessible for the PC version in US areas only. However, there is no announced or confirmed date yet when the patch will be released in Europe and Asian territories. Also, the launching of the update for other consoles still remains to be seen.

Diablo III is available for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
