Warner Bros. Interactive recently released an official trailer for the upcoming "Mad Max" video game.

The game itself has been designed and tested by Avalanche Studios and will take gamers in the role of the titular character of Max. Players will take Max through the post-apocalyptic world that the character now finds himself in. Max will have to survive the harsh reality of the world as gamers fight off the main villain Scabrous Scotus' marauders. Scotus has been confirmed as the son of the movie's main villain Immortan Joe. It is yet to be confirmed whether Joe will actually be in the game as a cameo or not.

According to the 70-minute game demo released on Polygon, the map that players will find themselves in is vast, with several towns and ramshackle communities. Gamers will also have to level up Max's gear, which includes armor, guns, grenade launchers, flame throwers and other various weapons that Max finds along the way.

One of the most vital parts of the game however, is Max's iconic Interceptor car. Players will have to navigate the vast map while trying to conserve resources as they are scarce in the harsh environment. The game totes that building your war machine is what Max needs to survive, so gamers will most probably be spending a lot of time fine tuning Max's car.

The game has a "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" look and feel to it, and several other parts of the game seem to have been revealed.

According to Tech Times, "Mad Max" is set to be released on all next-generation platforms and PCs on September 1, 2015, which is also the release date for the "Mad Max: Fury Road" DVD and Blu Ray editions. However, the game will be up against stiff competition as Konami is also releasing its giant title "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" on the same date.

"Mad Max" will revolve around the events of "Mad Max: Fury Road" as players will get a lot more insight on the character than seen in the movie. Subtle differences can be automatically seen and heard from the character. The video game Max has a distinct Australian accent as the game and the movie will take gamers to what is left of the Australian Outback. In the movie, the actor who played Max, Tom Hardy, did not have an accent and did not have that many speaking lines.

"Mad Max" is set to be an awesome adventure for fans of the series. More information can found on the game information site.
