Back in late June, undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. had his eyes on an ultra-rare supercar, the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevitam worth a record $4.8 million

Mayweather has been notorious for buying expensive luxury cars. In fact, even before rumors came out that he was set to purchase the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, his current Ferrari worth $3.8 million was already seen as something hard to top.

However, what Mayweather wants, Mayweather gets and apparently, he has already gotten the new ride.

According to TMZ Sports, Mayweather was spotted driving his brand new Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, something he reportedly got over the weekend. Mayweather parked his brand new supercar in front of Fatburger at the Vegas strip last Sunday.

Mayweather even showed off the fast and powerful engine of his new car, drawing in a lot of onlookers who wanted to catch a glimpse of the flamboyant ones’ new ride.

When it was time to pack up, Mayweather apparently knew that driving the car back home could be a risky one. Hence, he opted to call in a flatbed truck to transport it back home.

After being recognized by Forbes as the highest paid athlete, the $4.8 million tab is certainly something Mayweather can shell out. Mayweather bankrolled close to $300 million from the last 12 months of that report, largely coming from his supposed blockbuster fight against Manny Pacquiao.

It was actually only a matter of time before Mayweather got his hands on it. Obi Okeke of Fusion Luxury Motors reported in June that the supercar was already on its way but from the looks of it, Mayweather got it only a recently. He posted a picture of it via Instagram.

And while Mayweather can surely afford to throw away millions of dollars just like that, there is one person who is advising his fighters not to throw away their earnings just like that.

According to TMZ Sports again, Oscar Dela Hoya is perhaps taking aim at hiss boy Canelo Alvarez who is set to face off against Miguel Cotto this coming October. The Mexican fighter is expected to earn up to $6.5 million from the fight.

Rather that get an expensive supercar, Dela Hoya recommends getting a Prius – an electric car - instead.

Mayweather, meanwhile, is set to face Andre Berto on Sept. 12, 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas in what is not expected to be a revenue-generating bout.
