Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and Tesla Motors, together with his wife, actress Talulah Riley, spent their weekend walking on the wings of a flying plane.

The married daredevil couple shared photos of their aerial stunts on Instagram.

The first photo was taken by Riley, featuring Musk on top of the biplane. There seemed to be no other person manning the aircraft.

“Went for a nice wing walk. What could possibly go wrong? Photo by my lovely wife @talulahrm,” Musk captioned on Instagram.

Riley shared a second photo of the two red and white biplanes flying adjacently, one person was on top of the wings. The second plane was close to the edge of the photo, but apparently, there was a second person in the same position. The two daredevils might have done the same stunt simultaneously as a third person took the shot from the ground.

“I heart wingwalking! #bestdayever,” Musk captioned the second Instagram image.

According to Riley, they were wingwalking with the support of the aerobatic Breitling Wingwalking team in Hampshire, England. The wingwalking company teaches and provides opportunities for thrill-seeking individuals to walk on the wing of a Boeing Stearman biplane, while flying at a maximum speed of 130mph, based on an IGN report. The couple did the stunt on August 8, 2015.

Riley also shared a video of their stunt on Instagram. She wrote, “Here I am, wing walking! #wingwalking”.

Tech Times wrote that wingwalking involves moving on the wings of an airplane during flight. The mid-air stunt began in the 1920s and was featured at air shows and barnstorming aerial acrobat performances. At present, there are two types of wing walkers. The first type involves a person walking along the wingtip of a plane to aid a pilot taxiing on the ground. The second type involves a person walking on the wings while the aircraft is in the air. A biplane is ideal for such a maneuver. The Breitling Wingwalking team charges around $620 per person for the exciting experience.

Musk is a known thrill-seeker. The billionaire recently introduced the Tesla Powerwall home battery and plans for a space internet, based on the same IGN report. He also had the SpaceX Falcon rocket certified for national security missions. Currently, Musk is building a new kind of battery-powered automobile that can accelerate from zero to 60mph in 2.8 seconds.

More news and details about Musk’s projects and his extraordinary stunts are expected in the following months.
