The new poster and banner for the second season of “Gotham” has been unveiled, showcasing a couple of new villains.
FOX presented the new material, which gave a clearer view of the cast of “Gotham” Season 2. Particularly, there were two obvious additions, namely Theo Galavan (James Frain) and Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas), photographed by Mark Seliger. The promotional art also presented some of the returning cast members, such as Ben McKenzie, Robin Lord Taylor and David Mazouz. Other familiar faces on the poster include a young Penguin, Catwoman and Jim Gordon.
The poster, which was first exclusively provided by Hollywood Reporter, was entitled “Gotham: Rise of the Villains” with the schedule of the premiere at the bottom. “Gotham” Season 2 will launch on September 21, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. on FOX. The show will air every Monday thereafter. The banner arranged the characters side-by-side so that their images all appear to form the logo of Batman.
The first two teasers of the second season of the DC Entertainment crime series have also been featured, where a young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), appeared to have discovered an underground bat cave beneath the Wayne Manor. The other teaser gave some looks at Joker and the Tigress.
The two unfamiliar villains on the promotional art were Theo Galvan, a billionaire who has the notion that the city has to be saved from itself, and his sister Tabitha Galvan, who is better known among DC Comics fans as the Tigress. Tabitha functions as her brother’s main enforcer. The two characters will be regulars in the upcoming season.
“The stakes are higher than ever as Gotham explores the origin stories of some of the most ambitious and depraved Super Villains, including The Riddler, The Joker and Mr. Freeze, and Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) uncovers more secrets from his father’s past,” FOX wrote on the official synopsis.
Den of Geek wrote that Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) will continue his path to becoming the Riddler on Season 2. Dr. Leslie Thompkins (MorenaBaccarin), will also become a regular. There will also be scenes featuring Mr. Freeze and the Joker. Fans were told that they will discover how the proto-type Joker will connect with the Joker as people know him. There are rumors that Jerome might actually become the Joker.
