Rock couple Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have called it quits on their marriage. The two were together for 13 years.

Rolling Stone revealed that the couple wed in 2002 and had three children during their 13-year marriage – Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6 and Apollo, 1. Both parties requested for joint support over the young ones. Stefani, however, denied spousal support on the form.

They reportedly filed divorce documents at the same time. Stefani cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation. TMZ reported that the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement, so they are required to divide their jointly-held properties 50/50, based on California law. Gwen, 45, is reportedly worth $80 million, while Gavin, 49, is reportedly worth $35 million. It is likely that their respective net worth will be combined before being split into two equally.

Stefani is represented by attorney Scott Weston, while Rossdale is represented by attorney Laura Wasser. Their petitions and responses seemed to have been planned to be filed simultaneously.

“While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment. To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time,” the couple said in a joint statement.

Rolling Stone stated that Stefani’s last solo album was in 2006, titled “The Great Escape.” She is planning to release a new album in 2015, which is still untitled at the moment. Stefani admitted her difficult pregnancy with Apollo caused her to have a renewed desire to record. She worked with Pharrell Williams and came up with two songs. Rossdale, frontman of rock band Bush, released their sixth album in 2014, titled “Man on the Run.”

The two met in the mid-1990s and never collaborated on a music project until working on “The Voice” in 2014, Yahoo reported. Stefani said at the time that it was awkward, since they have only collaborated on making babies.

In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2014, Rossdale talked about his marriage.

“She’s taught me how to be a better person,” Gavin said.

“You might come in with two of something, and she’s got 12 of something,” pertaining to his wife’s superstardom and how Gwen kept him humble.
