The fifth season of “Scandal” is coming soon and will most likely concentrate on the reunion between President Grant and Olivia.

The teaser for the upcoming “Scandal” Season 5 was recently shown on the internet. The 40-second clip featured scenes from past episodes between Olivia Pope, played by Kerry Washington, and President Fitzgerald Grant, played by Tony Goldwyn. In the end, President Grant asked Olivia about their relationship, after he ended his marriage with Mellie, played by Bellamy Young. Olivia answered that they can have whatever they wanted. Fans expect that Season 5 will delve much into Olivia and the President’s relationship, Movie News Guide reported.

In previous episodes, President Grant and Olivia have been struggling to hold back from each other, since the former was still married to Mellie, while Olivia had relationships with other men. They had moments away from their partners and started a sexual relationship, although they both decided to end it. During the finale of “Scandal” Season 4, Jake Ballard, played by Scott Foley, advised Olivia to be with the man she loves the most. Afterwards, Olivia was seen heading to the White House to be with President Grant. Many fans expect that the reunion of President Grant and Olivia will lead to devastating results.

There were also rumors that actor Scott Foley had an argument with Kerry Washington. It can mean that Foley might be removed from “Scandal” soon. Star Magazine revealed that according to insiders, Washington’s tense relationship with on-screen boyfriend Foley may be the cause of his character facing death in the last episode of Season 4. Scott assured fans that he will return the next season but hinted that his character will soon be taken out of the show.

“Kerry is a very take-charge gal, but Scott is a veteran actor with his own opinions, and many of them rubbed Kerry the wrong way. Scott knows that Kerry is tight with Shonda, so he sees the writing on the wall. He wouldn’t be surprised if he got killed off early this fall,” the source said.

Bustle wrote that there were also a lot of expectations from fans regarding other characters on the show. They expect Mellie to be more independent and ruthless in the new season. People will love Vice President Ross more. Fitz will still be in the worst state. Quinn might actually have a storyline in the fifth season.

“Scandal” Season 5 is set to commence on September 24, 2015 on ABC.
