Fans and gamers alike have waited six long years for Valve's zombie survival multiplayer, "Left 4 Dead 3." Ill news came to fans when Turtle Rock Studios left Valve Corporation February this year. The question now is: "Will the fans wait longer, or was their wait in vain?"

According to Master Herald, Valve Corporation has shown great interest on multiplayer games as of late. This is evident in the massive success of "DOTA 2," "Counterstrike" and other games on their Steam platform. On this note, gamers and critics seemed positive that "Left 4 Dead 3" will definitely be released. Further on the report, it was mentioned that the survival first-person shooter is a better multiplayer game since it involves gamers playing alongside friends and not against friends. Leaks also showed the "Left 4 Dead 2" levels were remade using Source 2.

Without Turtle Rock Studios, Valve will have to work on "Left 4 Dead 3" on their own. According to Motoring Crunch, Phil Robb of Turtle Rock Studios said that their partnership with Valve Corporation has ended for the company to focus on a new game, titled "Evolved." Robb is the man behind the "Left 4 Dead" series. It would seem that Turtle Rock Studios will not be working on the video game at the moment, but they did not say they would discard "Left 4 Dead" completely. This news may give fans some hope of a game release.

As it stands, Valve seemed nonchalant about "Left 4 Dead 3" and "Half Life 3" for various reasons. The most noteworthy reason, according to Movie pilot, would be Valve's Steam platform. The success of Steam has made Gabe Newell the richest man in the video game industry - with an estimated net worth of $1 billion. Steam is also the place where PC games can either make or break. The last two games that Valve developed were "Portal 2" back in 2011 and "DOTA 2" in 2013. With the advent of virtual reality (VR) in gaming and the success of the Steam platform, it would seem that Valve has a lot on their hands.

There were leaks that Valve, at some point, was working on "Left 4 Dead 3" and "Half Life 3" using Source 2. Furthermore, Movie pilot said that this leak could mean indicate a potential release. However, the fact that Valve Corporation did not make an appearance on E3 last month makes a "Left 4 Dead 3" development and release seem bleak at the moment. Keep posted for news updates and rumors.
