After a lot of hurdles and complications in their love life, Chris Brown has spoken up about Rihanna in a recent interview saying he has nothing but "love and respect" for the Barbadian singer.

Hollywood Life reported that the 26-year-old RnB singer opened up about his relationship with ex-girlfriend Rihanna who he admits he shares a "kind of history."

Brown surprised everyone when he sang the 27-year-old's single "Bitch Better Have My Money" single during a recent concert. He was then asked about his song choice wherein he was able to open up about Rihanna and the status of their relationship now.

"She's my homie though. We knew each other since we were 14, 15 so with that kind of history, we are always going to be cool. I don't get jealous. I don't get mad. I got nothing but love and respect for her," Brown said. "I respect her as an artist. Obviously people are going to make a spectacle, like 'Oh, he's playing her music!' But who doesn't? I'm pretty sure she plays my music."

The exes are actually supportive of each other since Rihanna was also spotted watching Brown rehearse for his BET performance and was even seen singing along his performance of "Post to Be."

For those who are hoping that the two will date again, however, Brown has reportedly no intention of dating his ex because he "cares deeply" about her.

"He knows who he is. He knows he loves women and knows he could have just about any one he wants. He realizes that and the last thing he'd ever want to do is hurt his precious Rihanna and not give her what she wants - which is love and a monogamous commitment," an insider claimed.

In another report by Inquisitr, Brown was also asked about his feud with Drake. The singer said that he is not interested in bringing up the past. The "Energy" singer shared that he doesn't "partake in beef" anymore.

"Because with me, I am more mature now. At the end of the day, whoever is making their money is making their money. As long as they ain't getting in my way, I'm good," Brown said.

Brown also revealed the plans for his next album. The singer said that there will be "new stuff" coming in for his fans and that his next album is his number one priority for this year.
